The Why, What, Who, and How of No Guts No Glory.
Why NGNG?
Because I got tired of fear disguised as wisdom.
For years I’ve felt called to testify by writing of the faithfulness of God in my life. Not because I’ve handled life brilliantly, but because Jesus Christ has remained faithful despite my foolish choices, delay, compromise, suffering, and a long habit of trying to keep the peace instead of walking straight into truth.
Hence this newsletter proclaiming my experience of the goodness of God.
What NGNG means
Not chest-beating bravado.
It means responding courageously to change, pain, conviction, opportunity, and God’s leading - basically being and becoming a more mature man of God.
Which looks like:
truth before image
obedience instead of passivity
courage beating nice-guy accommodation
witness instead of silence
What you’ll find here
Mostly stories.
Not polished memoir, generic self-help or religious platitudes.
Plain testimony.
Stories of where Holy Spirit spoke, led, provided, warned, corrected, comforted, and redeemed. In dark places, strange places, costly places. Sometimes very ordinary places.
Over time, key testimonies will form a growing record of what I’m calling my Rocks of Remembrance — moments where I know: God said/did that.
Alongside those, you’ll also find reflections on courage, obedience, suffering, masculinity, faith, and the slow work of becoming a man who declares what he knows is true.
Who NGNG is for
This is especially for:
men tired of passivity, fear, and self-betrayal
people who know God is real but need reminding He still acts
those feeling stuck, compromised, disappointed, or half-awake
anyone hungry for living testimony rather than borrowed theory
Some posts will hit men hardest.
Others broader than that.
But the centre will stay the same:
God is faithful. He still deals personally with people however He deems best. Courage always matters.
